I’m lots of things to lots of different people, but his blog is mainly about work where I’m in a digital comms role.   I’ve been about for a while and worked across lots of comms disciplines and am most happy in media relations and emergency comms due the immediacy and fast pace of both,which probably means I’m well suited to the pace of digital comms in the world of social media.

The move wasn’t one I particularly wanted or sought out but now I’m here I can’t imagine going back to what I used to do. I’m having so many great conversations within and outwith my organisation about how we can engage our citizens using social media and I’m starting to make some of these conversations a reality. Outside of work I’m a mum to two little people and when I have time to myself I love the usual things like good food, company and entertainment. To relax I love cooking and baking and to let off steam I love getting out on my own and hitting the tracks near home on my mountain bike.
